On October 27, 2024, former Mayor Don Slesnick spoke at the 100 Voices Program at the Merrick House.
Slesnick spoke about his years as mayor of Coral Gables and his experiences with the Sister Cities program. Coral Gables and Aix-en-Provence became sister cities in 1997.
As the backdrop of the presentation were six of my photos from Aix-en-Provence, including some that are currently installed at the Le Petit Verdot restaurant in Aix-en-Provence.
Also attending the event was the current mayor of Coral Gables, Vince Lago.
Former Mayor Slesnick sent me a sweet note after the event: "Thanks for your contribution to the afternoon—your lovely photographs helped set the tone!"
