Behind the Photo

Often I am asked about how I took a particular photo...was I in search of some special subject? Why did I capture this particular location with this particular framing and composition? What was going on around me that lead me to snap this one shot?
In my monthly Behind the Photo series, I present an image and tell the story of what I saw through my viewfinder and what happened just before that image was frozen in time. Perhaps I responded to a particular color, a texture, an architectural detail, or the weather conditions and mood.
